ゴール２: “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture”
The Report identifies that it was weather-induced shocks, armed conflicts, and the severe desert locust crisis that have caused acute food insecurity. In addition, COVID-19 now poses an further threat to food systems, as the lockdown measures in place have caused many business failures in local markets.

ゴール８： “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”
The Report foresees that the difficulty of the world economy – considerably being affected by COVID-19 pandemic – will reduce its growth rate down to -4.2% in 2020. In addition, an alarming large number of workers are now engaged globally in informal employment, which has induced negative impacts on their working conditions, specifically on their earnings, working time, occupational safety and health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has purportedly entrenched existing patterns of discrimination and stigma against certain groups in society. Furthermore, the global recession resulting from the pandemic crisis has constricted financial flows – public and private – to developing countries.
